Abingdon Riverside Excursion - Free roam
Requires the sn.
I am assuming that the Castle has taken an excursion from the Southern to Oxford
and the passengers are now enjoying a scenic boat trip down the Thames to Abingdon.
The Castle has now brought the empty stock to Radley and is waiting while the
branch loco takes the coaches on to Abingdon and return with the visitors.
A photo of 5003 Lulworth Castle pulling out of Radley's branch platform with 11 coaches
at 9pm in the summer of 1954 is in A.Vaughan's The Heart of the Great Western, page 131.
